I have always loved stationery and spend hours in shops looking at pretty items, I’ve also always loved making things so the two naturally collided. I started as a scrapbooker and have since found out, many planners do.

I’ve always scrapbooked in some form, as a child I had many of those large scrapbooks you could find in the post office or I would just stick souvenirs into exercise books. In 2005 I got married and that triggered a slightly different form of memory keeping. I still scrapbook to this day but not as frequently as I would like to.

Which leads to planning, I’ve had a planner my whole adult life but stumbled across ‘pretty planning’, and by that I mean adding stickers and maybe more drawings and doodles than before. I treated myself to a new planner for my new found hobby and quickly decided that it needed decorating. I set about making things to brighten it up, I wanted to be able to open my planner and it make me smile and lift whatever mood I was in.

I enjoyed this so much that I decided I needed to start making more and I needed to share the stationery love with every one…. Bits of Stationery was then born!

I started scrap-booking in 2005 after I married my school sweetheart and my love of pretty paper has flourished. This had led onto Paper craft in different forms but I’ve always been attracted to stationery. We have a Son, Adam and a Daughter, Emily and we all live in Kent in the UK.
